Alot to Drink About

Last weekend, Lee suprised me with a trip to Fredericksburg, TX! This is the heart of Texas Hill Country and also known for producing Texas Wine.
Texas Wine is generally bad.So Friday morning we hopped in the car and I had no clue where we were headed. We got about an hour away and there was a sign for it and Lee pointed and said "That's where we are going!"
He had booked us at this little bed and breakfast that puts you in individual cabins (so no awkward breakfast with the people in the house...) and had a wonderful restaurant on site!
Our Living Room (with satellite TV that never worked..)
The "Kitchen"The bathroom
I am pretty sure 1890 Kentucky Cabins didn't have a shower like this:
The bed - up on a loft overlooking the living room.I love the tin roof. It rained while we were there and I slept so great listening to the rain on the roof. Or i was a little scared when it rained hard and thought of tornadoes...
The view from our porch. That is the outdoor seating to the restaurant.

The pond has fishies in it!I found a quarter in my purse and got some fish food for them.
Then we finally headed off to town, after a little nap. It's a little german town with lots of sausage and mustard and beer! Lee loved the Fredericksburg Brewery:
While I enjoyed the chocolate shop Chocolat:And then off to Grape Seed Winery:The wine was ok, the atmosphere and scenery was wonderful!

All in all, our little anniversary trip was wonderful! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband. Yay for 5 years!

I am alive!

Eeeek! I didn't realize it had been so long since I updated. Things have been crazy around our house after getting back from Fredericksburg. I will post photos from the trip tonight!

Cats love laundry day

I can't wait until our bedroom is painted at the end of this month, the same color as that gray blanket!

Because I felt like it...

I awoke in a bad mood. We have company coming for dinner, and that always spins me a little because the house needs cleaning and all that. So I got up and out of the house and shopped for about 3 hours!

First stop: Target. I wanted to make a few Easter Baskets. Just because. So i made one for Lee's parents to take to their house tomorrow and I made one for here, just to have one around. She loves chocolate so I focused on that...
Lee LOVES Chex Mix! So i added that to our basket, and gave the puppies each a new toy.

Because I felt like it...
Next I was off to Banana Republic. I wanted a cute spring cardigan to wear tomorrow, but they didn't really have anything so I will have to make do..
I had a gift card to West Elm so I went in search of..nothing. But I came out with this:In red, but it has buttons on it. So it goes great with the gray on our bedding and with the gray sweater pillow that has buttons.
Next, Crate and Barrell. It's expensive helpful that these are all in the same center so I could park once and shop. I came out with a few small hurricane vases, crushed sea shells, and some mini pillar candles. Also, Oregano and Basil with Oregano and Basil pots for my window sill!
Hopefully they start to grow soon!

So that little shopping spree made me feel a little better. I have about 2 hours until the guests arrive... i better get to that laundry. And maybe snuggle with the new pillow for a minute.
