Happy Vacation!

Friday we flew to Atlanta, GA to meet up with friends to see a Jack Johnson concert.
In the beginning and middle of the concert, we were rained on. A lot. As we sat on the lawn.
So we left.
Then we got lost in scary Atlanta.
However, we had fun while we were there (minus the rain) and watched 100 college kids get drunk in front of us. Had we stayed during the rain, we are sure we would have seen them get naked.

Saturday we drove to Jacksonville, FL (where our friends live) about 5 hours away. We were all pretty beat after that but we got ready and went down to Kickbacks for beers (ice tea) and food. The food was good and the beers (iced tea) was better but the A/C was out.

Sunday was Funday at the Beach.
Lee, Bret, and Jerry played "Bros Icing Bros" with Smirnoff Ice.
I drank water :)
A little sunburned but not too bad, bought new flip flops, had a yummy cheeseburger at Bukkets on the beach. Good day!

Monday - travel day. On a horrible pencil Continental Express plane.
Why are those always so hot? OH because 75 people are crammed on a plane the size of a pencil!
Get home with plans for laundry, relaxation and grocery store...

Then this happens, not 5 full minutes after we got home:
Super fun huh?
After a 5 minute FREAK OUT, I grabbed the camera and my phone and called StateFarm. Lee started calling limb service to get this limb off the car. Then the roofing man. And after the all-clear from insurance, the windshield people.
Within 3 hours, life was relatively back to normal. The windshield is fixed so I could drive it while Lee is out of town this week. We tried our best to vaccuum but I need to head over and get it detailed because there is no way we got it all. It was in the air vents, seats, BACK SEAT... glass and tree debris everywhere.

At least it made it easier to come back to work today!

Thursday filler-outer.

Stolen from Okie Rednecks:
Outside my window.. Office buildings and at least 100 degrees.
The time is.. 3:06pm
Today I feel.. Tired and achy.
I am thinking.. I wanna go home, watch my DVR, and read "Happiest Baby on the Block" or one of the other books I purchased today.
At the moment, I am thankful.. That Lee's dad did well with his bypass surgery, that Tiffanie is healthy and her baby will be healthy. Super thankful for Lee, my wonderful husband.
I am going.. to Florida this weekend
I am wearing.. black capri's, a white t, and a teal cardigan
I wish.. on the couch with my feet up
I am reading.. The Help.
I am working on.. a conference/banquet center.
I am hoping.. that i am not a bother to the non preggo people this weekend. You kind have to feed me and let me rest on a regular basis!
I am hearing.. Pandora radio and someone on the phone.
I bet you didn't know..i really want to stay home after the baby is born... but i just work so hard to get my license...
One of my favorite.. things to do is lay in a hammock with a book, when the weather permits
My weekend plans include.. Flying to Atlanta, seeing Jack Johnson in concert, going to Florida and hanging out.

Yay art!

A few months ago, I was window shopping and happened upon a cute art piece at Z Gallerie... and ever since I couldn't stop thinking about it.
Today I wandered in, again window shopping, and just couldn't resist!Seriously how cute is that? And I got the numbers one that coordinates:
Now I need a rug and we will be done with basics in the room.

We are having a party in October to get the room put together. Paint, crib putting-together, ceiling fan hanging, etc. It will be so nice to see it just pop into place. However, being a room full of random stuff in piles is a little frustrating...

Next month we will concentrate on getting the new guest room (aka old study room) put together. That room won't need painting, just a little re-arrange and some accessories. When you have a little bungalow like we do, making room for baby is a little more work than just buying a crib!

23 Weeks...

This seems to be going by very fast. One minute - pregnant. The next - SUPER pregnant..

Here I am at 23 weeks:We need a new camera. Lee finally gets that after taking this photo multiple times because it just won't un-blur!

I am hoping for the new Olympus Pen. We shall see!

I can't believe I am about to enter the 6th month. Showers are about to start, we have chosen the wall color for the room (a really pretty dark blue), and I have to make myself not buy clothes for him at the store since I know we will get a lot at the (4) showers we are having.

Cheerios don't last long.. I am hungry!

Friday (not really) Fill In

1. Music is a big part of my day.

2. COFFEE is what I like first thing in the morning.

3. The first thing I said this morning was: "i will let them out if you will let them in" to Lee about the dogs.

4. Family Dinner; it's what's for dinner tonight. (lee's dad just had surgery)

5. It's all been perfect.

6. Sleeping is what I feel like doing right now, because I have a stomach ache.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to resting, tomorrow (today) my plans include refraining from the Carter's store, and sleeping and Sunday, I want to run errands and watch chick flicks while Lee is at the Astros game. (watching them lose)

Big Baby Boy

Earlier in the week I posted with the title "Itty Bitty Boy."

After my Dr. Appt on Wed, I need to change my tune a little bit...

The ultrasound measurements moved my due date up a good 5 - 7 days because he is measuring "large."

Hello? have you seen Lee? Was there any doubt Logan would be a "large" baby?

My biggest fear... large baby... not so large me... *gulp*

Proof is in these photos, which is seems like a flash forward, of Lee and I holding our friend's baby, Brady.

So far, normal sized baby...
And now... mini-baby! Lee's hand is almost the size of the baby!!

I am getting closer to choosing a blue paint. There are 6 swatches on the wall and I try and go in there at different times of the day to see how the lighting makes me feel about the paints. Tough decision!

Itty Bitty Boy

I knew the minute they said "boy" at the ultrasound what I was ordering for his room.

Bedding:
A cute little bag for when he is a little older:

We purchased the crib, dresser, and glider the other day - all in white (the glider has red fabric). I want to do a darkish blue with the crisp white furniture. Once the bedding gets here (any day now!) I can work on choosing a good color. I wanted something a little more sophisticated than plain ole baby blue - something that he can grow up with. I think baby blue would get old after a little while... I like the blue in the rail road stripe on his bedding...
I need to find a colorful rug to bring together all the colors of these trains.. hopefully IKEA has something good.
My entire family is Union Pacific, which is where the trains come in. I need something train-like for over the crib that has his name. After that, no more trains. I don't want it to be too much of one thing.
