20 Weeks...

This week is a bit of a milestone in that, at 20 weeks, I am half way done with this journey of being pregnant. I can't complain much, it has been a fairly easy ride as far as symptoms...

Per the Bump.com, baby is this big:
So not such a tiny thing anymore!
I now look like this:
We also found out what Baby Nash is!

A boy! Logan Lee Nash. We are excited and surprised (i was convinced it was a girl..) and Lee is already planning his Sigma Chi initiation...

On another note, to whomever in the world reads this... we need some serious prayers for our very good friends, Tony and Tiffanie. Please click over and read her blog and see what is happening with their pregnancy... not quite as joyful as mine at the moment. I want us to raise our boys together so please, pray to all the Gods out there so that their little baby can heal..

Baby Shower Mania

Up until about now, it's almost been like I am just pregnant and things are moving along slowly.
But as I look at my calendar coming up - BAM! Things are about to get crazy!

August:
  • I have a shower for my cousin in Palestine. I also will be going to the place my shower will be held in September to have a look-see.
  • We are taking a little trip to Florida too to see some friends. If you see on the news there is a beached whale in Jacksonville, no worries - it will be me!
September:
  • Baby Shower in Palestine thrown by my mom and good friend Katie.
  • Another shower at work is possible as my coworker is pregnant too... probably a dual shower!
October:
  • 2 baby showers! One is a couple's shower and another is a "Let's set up the nursery!" shower.
November:
  • One more shower, thrown by my sister in law for the Nash side of the clan.
  • Maternity pictures
  • Thanksgiving!
December:
  • BABY!
  • Newborn photos (and birth announcements)
  • Christmas!
We have already registered at Right Start and Sunday I am going with Donald to register at Babys R Us.
Monday is the big ultrasound day! I can hardly wait!

Don't worry, I will hardly be able to contain myself on blogging about what this little critter is that squirms around all day...

He thinks, She thinks...

I have realized that men and women think differently when it comes to the impending birth of their (first) child...

Here is how I think the thought bubbles go over our heads all the time:

Me: What will the baby watch for cartoon? Perhaps Fraggle Rock on DVD!

Lee: money

Me: I wonder what stroller we will like.

Lee: Money

Me: I am becoming obsessed with wanting to know what the gender is!

Lee: money.

So when any of these things I am thinking are spoken out loud, he looks at me like i am crazy!

Oh well, at least he will be impressed with all the things I THOUGHT about and PLANNED out that he didn't want to be bothered with. He will be all "Wow! I am so glad you thought about that!" and i guess he will just be glad I didn't say it all out loud.

What an adventure already...

Changes...

No matter how hard I try - this will eventually turn into a pregnant/mommy blog. I suppose if no one wants to read about it then they just won't.

Here I am at 16 weeks, about to go to a baby shower for my good friend Carlin:
Lee took the photo and it is a little fuzzy but he sure tried.
I am going to be 18 weeks along Sunday, and we should find out on Tuesday what kind of critter we are having. So more photos to post soon!

My grandmother also took some photos of my and my 2 cousins who are also pregnant. I just have to get her to magically email them to me!

The rain outside makes me want to hibernate in a big way.

Summer Storms

Personally, I love little afternoon/evening showers in the summers. It tends to cool things off a little and keep the grass from turning brown.

Teddy, however, hates them.

When it starts to thunder and lightening... Teddy seeks shelter under the bed:
(I apologize for the dust, i had swiffere'd under the bed a few days ago... our house is just dusty!)
Then he decided he was safe enough to move his shelter to the kitchen table:
He stayed there a good while... even me trying to hold him and pet him didn't work.
Here is another way he is very much like Luther. When it would storm, Luther would shiver so hard his teeth would chatter!

Lola -didn't care one bit about the storm.
She was more disturbed by the horrible movie we were watching...
