Just In Case...

Twice this week, I have found myself in a situation where I am with Logan but with out necessary baby supplies. You know... diapers, wipes, pacifier.. those little things.

Imagine being at the Dr for SHOTS and you have no paci to give the little guy while he is crying.
Then taking him during his sleepy part of the day to Lee's office.. no paci, diapers, wipes... So I stopped at Walgreens and bought those things. The paci came in handy for sure.

This made me realize I needed a just in case kit in the car. I already had a bottle of water, tissues, and hand/face wipes. But I had nothing that would be an emergency deal. I mean come on, I don't want to be that girl on Teen Mom who used towels at the car wash as a diaper...

So here is what I have:

Diapers, wipes, and a paci. I am fortunate to have a super deep console in my car to stow this in.

I don't want to leave a ready-made bottle of formula in the car mainly since it's 100 degrees outside right now. Then I would have to have a bottle too...

Is there anything else you think I need in this bag?

Do you have something similar in your car for emergency moments?

an extra outfit!! I have 2 extras in mine. Just cheap shorts/shirts from Target.
And maybe some baby snacks, like Gerber puffs. You could get one of those formula/snack cups and just put a couple of ounces of the dry powder formula in there 'just in case'.
I also have a little travel kit of body wash, lotion, diaper cream, and tylenol/mylicon too.

Agree with Alice on the puffs - I know that Mom & Sister kept some handy. If he's hungry...it's not a real meal, but it's something to snack on until can get to real food.

She's got a really good idea on keeping the dry powder!

Maybe some baby sunscreen and spare hat, with the current summer conditions. And a small spare toy.

are you serious some used towels as a diaper?!!??! God no wonder i refuse to watch that show, bad name for all young mothers out there, including myself.

New follower via the hop, happy to meet another young mummy!

I think you will be well stocked for "Just in case". Great Idea to use your console. :)

I'm not a Mom, but that sounds like a great idea! I've always meant to make one of those in case I ever got stuck somewhere - congrats on being one step ahead of me! :D

Visiting from FLOB, you're blog is ADORABLE, as is your baby. I'm not a mom, but I know extra outfits are always helpful as well as a beloved toy for when the baby has a rough day. Have a great Sunday!

Thanks for the advice! I will throw a onesie and a little book in there and hopefully never touch any of it! HA!
