I am one of those that carries a large purse with everything in the whole world inside it. Ask anyone, you reach in there and you can get everything from a tape measure to a camera to a huge wallet (and about a million things of chapstick!)
As I think about Mr. Logan coming our way in a few weeks, I realize I will now have a diaper bag to lug around. I don't think carrying that plus my big ass purse is a good idea.
While reading through Pregnancy and Newborn magazine this month, I saw an ad for these little floral wrist-lets from a place called "Gussy." Pretty darn cheap @ $26 and really really cute! The idea is you throw your phone and keys and wallet (I need to downsize I suppose) into this clutch and then the clutch is thrown into the diaper bag - so you still have your things and they don't get lost in the sea of stuff in the bag. Also, then I can just throw it in my huge purse when I am going to work.
Maybe I am over thinking this?
Anyway - this is the one I got.If you like, you can look at one for yourself here: Gussy
They have phone cases, diaper bags, laptop cases, etc. Lots of super super cute stuff! I am trying to use self control and not order this right now:As I just said, I need to downsize...
but the black and white and orange... ooooooooohhh.....

I DO NOT think you are over thinking this at all. I'm trying to decide how I will do without two different kinds of chapstick, tape measure, various pens, paper pad, etc...
I think the mom bag inside of a diaper bag is a great idea....
Visiting from SITS...
The clutch is adorable!
Right after my son was born, my sister gave me a little hobo wallet that looks a lot like a clutch. I've had it for four and a half years now and love, love, love it. I can slip it between a diaper bag and a purse without a hassle.
Jessica - you are the only other person I know that actually keeps a tape measure in their purse! At least if Mrs. Swearingen hops out of the bushes and asks to see it, we get our points!
Mandy - good! I am glad I am onto something and not just being OCD (per usual!)
